Privacy Policy
Boating Booking (boatingbooking.in) is a Kerala travel planning and booking-request platform. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect and why. It will be updated as the product grows; the date below reflects the latest revision.
What we collect
When you request a booking we store the details you type in: your name, phone number, email (optional), travel dates, guests and special requests, together with a generated booking reference. When a houseboat owner registers, we store the owner’s name, contact details and houseboat details. We do not collect payment information — there is no payment gateway on this site.
How we use it
Booking details are used to pass your request to our team and the relevant houseboat owner via WhatsApp, and to manage your booking status. Owner details are used to verify ownership, link the owner’s Telegram pricing channel and publish the owner’s prices. We do not sell personal data, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
WhatsApp handoff
When you confirm a booking request we open WhatsApp with a pre-filled message addressed to our booking number (+91 80891 04304). You review and press send yourself — nothing is sent silently. WhatsApp’s own privacy policy then applies to the chat.
Storage & retention
Records are stored in our production database (Supabase) where configured, otherwise in a clearly labelled local development store. Booking and owner records are kept only as long as needed to operate the service.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to view, correct or delete your records by writing to hello@boatingbooking.in or via WhatsApp. Admin and owner areas are protected by authentication; private booking data is never indexable by search engines.
